AMBER TUBBS

Executive Chair

On October 22, 2016 Amber Tubbs (she/her) was initiated into the “Gallant Gamma” line of the Tau Beta Sigma Iota Psi chapter at Kennesaw State University.  As an active member she served as the chapter’s Parliamentarian, Corresponding Secretary and President. During her active time,  she also served in many committees on the chapter and district level. In May of 2020 she graduated from Kennesaw State University with a degree in History Education. Even though she is an alumna, she has still maintained to stay involved in the sorority and is life member of her home chapter. She has helped create her own chapter alumni association, serves on the National Committee for History and Achieves, was a petitioning advisor for the Theta Omicron chapter, and is serving in her second term as the SEDAA Finance Chair.

CHRISTINA "C.J." WADE

V. Chair/Programs Chair

Christina “C.J.” Wade (she/her), a Brookside, Alabama native, is a creative soul. 

With over 25 years of experience in performing arts, she has represented Alabama in International Goodwill Performances in Paris, France and Rome, Italy and performed in Canada, Great Britain, and Amsterdam, Netherlands. C.J. Wade embodies a life mission of empowering others through education and the arts. She is the founder of the creative collective Workmanship Incorporated, owner and licensed massage therapist of You Matter Massage & Wellness, and CEO of The Write Wade Publishing Company, LLC. 

Wade holds a B.A. in Communication Management and a Master of Arts in Education from the University of Alabama at Birmingham (Go Blazers!). She is a proud member of See Jane Write Collective and the INROADS Alabama Alumni Association, Tau Beta Sigma National Band Sorority and Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. In addition to co-hosting Birmingham’s faith-based podcast QueensBeLike, C.J. "listens at the speed of life" on her blog at www.thewritewade.com.

DEE PULLENS

Membership Chair

Deatrica P. Cummings initiation into the national honorary band sorority began Spring 2014 as an Honorary member of the Delta Theta chapter at Alabama State University. As a current alumni member serving under the Delta Theta Alumni Association, she has served on several committees, such as fundraising, scholarship and special events. As an active alum member, she continues to serve and has participated in various volunteer opportunities such as fundraising with her local alumni association to help raise over $1,200 to fund their Annual Scholarship Gala, donating bottled waters to the band and visiting bands, passing out water, providing and serving food to the band before and after performances, volunteering at local high schools, and assisting with battle of the band events. Additionally, she has held the position of assistant Secretary and currently serves as Chaplain. Dee, as her friends affectionally call her, began her musical journey where she began playing the piano at the age of ten for her church. In 1994, the journey continued at Alabama State University. She joined the flag corp in the ASU Mighty Marching Hornets band where she marched under the late Danny B. Davis and the late Dr. Harold Bray. She previously served as the Social Engagement chair for the Southeast District for the 2022-2023 term, but she was most recently selected to serve as the Membership & Recruitment chair. In June 2022, Dee married her college sweetheart, Derek. She serves as the Co-Director for the Children’s Ministry at her church, Crossroads Church South Fulton in Fairburn, GA and serves as a board member for the non- profit organization the Patricia Ann Doyle foundation (PAD), where they provide scholarships and care packages to youth and young adults with incarcerated parents. Dee also enjoys cooking, traveling, attending football games, and spending time with family and friends.

DIONNE MCKINNEY

Social Chair

C. Dionne McKinney (Dionne McKinney) became a member of the Eta Lambda Chapter of Tau Beta Sigma at the University of Alabama At Birmingham as a charter member on June 5, 1999. During her years as an active member Dionne served as Chapter Historian, Recording Secretary, Vice President and President. Dionne received a degree in Graphic Design in 2013 after taking a break due to recovering from her mother’s death. Dionne helped to start the Eta Lambda Alumni Association to include other alumni members of her chapter. Dionne has served in several roles with the Eta Lambda Alumni Association. Dionne now serves as a member of the Southeast District Alumni Association (SEDAA) as the Social Chair.

HOLLEYANNA NOLEN

Communications Chair

Holleyanna Nolen (she/her) was initiated into the Eta Lambda chapter on January 29, 2018. During her five years as an active she served in the role of chapter treasurer, vice president of membership, and president. During her final year as an active she was selected to serve as the Southeast District Vice President of Membership (2021-2022). At the conclusion of her term she was awarded The Baton at the 2022 SED Convention at Callaway Gardens. Since graduating, she has been selected to join the National Curriculum Committee and was elected as Communications Chair of the Southeast District Alumni Association.


She received her Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education in Spring 2022 from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She is currently working as a third grade teacher in Birmingham, Alabama.
